The Order of the Cresent
The enemy is already among us.

Their origin is unknown. Most of the world is unaware of their existence. Yet they are members of every notable academic institution, every laboratory receiving grant money, and nearly every government organization. They are scientists and intellectuals, citizens of every developed country. Their tie to one another is shawdowed, their resources immense, and they undoubtedly work toward some unforeseen end.

No one can prove that they exist, they've never made a move that could be traced back to them. They have waited patiently for an indiscernible number of years. That is, until now.

Around the world, researchers, professors and government officials are preparing to unleash a deadly virus. This virus will herald a new existence for mankind; "a golden age in which humankind will transcend and begin again." This means, of course, that 99% of the world’s population will die, but those who survive the mutation "shall be as gods."

They have chosen a few strategic locations to begin their conquest, listed at right.

Kansas State University, Manhattan, KS
Is a fool's hope truly better than no hope?

My name is Jesse Abram, and I can only say this plainly.

We dodged the first bullet. And the second one.

The Order of the Crescent has a front company that funds and directs research at K-Sate. The company is called Mesopotamian Corporation, committed to ending hunger and disease through genetic engineering.

For us, having Fort Riley and the Big Red One so close is a blessing and a curse. The MP’s stopped an M Corp. agent and kept the infectious material from entering the base, and it was only a matter of days after that before all urban centers in the area were locked down and quarantined before Zombie hordes from the east appeared on the horizon; an infection started at KU Med in Kansas City wiped out the greater Kansas City area during the week of Oct. 13.

But it was three-round burst. And the third bullet could catch us right between the eyes.

Unfortunately, as was my fear, we have underestimated the Mesopotamians. They are already within Manhattan, indeed, within K-State.

M. Corp cannot risk a sudden full scale infection of the campus, else the army would just glass the area from the air.  It is likely they will infect one or two students and hope the infection will spread quickly and quietly until there is a large enough Zombie force to break the quarantine.

I didn’t mean to stumble upon their existence, their plan, but now I am in the unique and painful position to save this campus.

My name is Jesse Abram.  And I will help you if I can.
